The Indonesian Valorant National Team has taken smooth steps to dominate the pre-SEA Games 2023 Cambodia tournament

The SEA Esports Championship is a tournament held by VNG Corporation for three consecutive days from 13-15 March 2023. Apart from Valorant, the organizers also held a pre-SEA Games 2023 trial for PUBG Mobile.
6 participating teams competed for a total prize of US$13 thousand. Indonesia started their steps well against Brunei Darussalam. Indonesia won with a score of 13-6, then continued with a landslide victory over Laos 13-1 ending the match on the first day.
On the second day, Indonesia still dominated with its first victory over Malaysia with a score of 13-5. Followed by a fierce battle against Vietnam, Indonesia won after overtime with a score of 14-12. Until finally Indonesia ended the second day with a victory over the host, Cambodia with a score of 13-8.

In the playoffs, Indonesia met again with Cambodia in the best of 3 (BO3) series format. The Indonesian Valorant National Team managed to win easily with a score of 13-9 (Icebox) and 13-5 (Ascent) and then met Vietnam in the final round.
The Indonesian Valorant National Team appeared superior in the first match against Vietnam with a score of 13-1 (Split). Followed by the second match, Indonesia won again over Vietnam with a score of 13-10 (Haven) and ended the tournament with a win.

This positive result certainly bodes well for the Indonesian Valorant National Team’s debut in the pre-SEA Games 2023 Cambodia event. Deputy Head of the Indonesian Esports National Team, Richard Permana is optimistic that this victory will prove the toughness of the nation’s best son.
“The potential for this is the Valorant National Team squad. It’s amazing that the tryout event was brushed off as the 1st winner, the air was very positive. Congrats Agil and the team,” he wrote via Instagram.
The Head Coach of the Indonesian Esports National Team, Yohannes Siagian also expressed his appreciation for the success of the Indonesian Valorant National Team. However, he did not want to be conceited with this success as there is still a long way to go for the nation’s best sons.

“Good start, but still a long way to go. Congratulations,” wrote Joey.
Hopefully this success will continue to bring the Indonesian Valorant National Team to improve from existing deficiencies and maintain their superiority towards the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia and bring home a gold medal for Valorant.
